二增菩薩

(二增菩薩, 二增菩萨)

The two superior kinds of bodhisattvas, [lang id =1028]智增菩薩 bodhisattva superior in wisdom (chiefly beneficial to self); [lang id =1028]悲增菩薩 bodhisattva superior in pity for others and devotion to their salvation.

修唯識行的菩薩， 無論頓機或漸機， 又各有二類， 一者智增菩薩， 二者悲增菩薩。 智增、 是智慧增上， 此類菩薩， 斷惑證理的自利行較多， 而普化有情的利他行較少；悲增、 是大悲增上， 此類菩薩， 以利化有情的悲願較多， 不欲速證菩提， 而久住生死苦海， 利益有情。
